Steps in the Process
1. The first step is to perform an assessment of your property. This will help provide information to check if you qualify to participate in the rebate program and if it will benefit you or not. Once the assessment is done we are able to present you with all data involved, including energy savings, money savings, and ROI. When the assessment is complete we can then determine if the retrofit will benefit you and your property.
2. The second step is to submit an application to the utility company in order to reserve the funds for your project. The application process will not hold you obligated and it is not a singed contract of any kind. The purpose is simply to notify the utility company that you are willing to save energy and asking them to reserve the funds for you.
3. The next step is the pre-inspection of the property by the utility company, scheduled by the utility company inspector. The purpose of the pre-inspection is to double check our company’s appraisal with regards to your savings and benefits. The inspector will verify that you are indeed reducing 20% to 40% of your energy use with regards to lighting. Once the project gets approved we can then start the retrofit.
4. Last step of the program is after the installation is complete. The utility company inspector will schedule a post-inspection. This is to make sure the installation was done properly and the reduction of energy is an actual fact.
